Holmdel Teen Honored For Acceptance To West Point

More than a dozen students from New Jersey were recently congratulated for their acceptance into military academies.

The students attended a reception in the Newark office of U.S. Senator Bob Menendez, according to a news release from his office.

Jack Chu, who graduated from Holmdel High School this month, has been accepted into the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

The “nominees were chosen for their excellent academic record, distinctive recommendations, and strong character, among other criteria,’’ the news release said.
