HOLMDEL, NJ — A Holmdel Township Police Officer and his K9 partner recently placed at the 2026 USPCA National Detector Dog Trials.
At the annual event (which took place in Atlantic City for 2026), Officer Jackson and his K9 partner, Murph, placed third overall, with a score of 199.50 out of 200.
In addition to placing third overall, the pair also achieved a first place finish in Narcotic Detection as a regional team, an accomplishment that the department said reflects their "relentless training, dedication and teamwork."
The pair secured their invite to compete in the National Trials earlier this year, when they showcased their abilities by earning certifications at the regional level.
"The Holmdel Police Department is incredibly proud of this outstanding achievement," the department said in an online post. "Congratulations, Darryl and Murph!"
