HAZLET, NJ — Drivers should be aware of a road closure scheduled to take place on Wednesday.
Weather permitting, Union Avenue will be closed between Appleton Drive and Union Hill Lane from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Hazlet Police said.
During the closure, Hazlet DPW and Monmouth County DPW will be dredging the bridge over the creek.
No vehicles will be able to pass through the work area during this time.
"Please use an alternate route, which could include taking Poole Avenue or Laurel Avenue to Highway 36," police said. "The road may be opened earlier if the work is completed prior to 2 p.m."
