Driver Injured After NJ Motorcycle Crash, State Police Say

The crash occurred Wednesday night after the driver lost control, which caused the motorcycle to go down, police said.

HOLMDEL, NJ — A driver sustained minor injuries after losing control of their motorcycle on Wednesday night, NJ State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron told Patch.

At 7:40 p.m. on Wednesday, troopers responded to the crash on the Garden State Parkway northbound outer lanes at milepost 114.4 in Holmdel.

Based on a preliminary investigation, Lebron said a Kawasaki motorcycle was going north when the driver lost directional control, causing the bike to go down.

The driver sustained minor injuries and was brought to an area hospital. Authorities have not released the driver's identity.

The right and center lanes of the roadway were blocked just before 8 p.m. Wednesday as a result of the crash, the Asbury Park Press reported.

As of Thursday morning, police said no additional information on the crash is available.
