Attempted Break-In At Holmdel Home Monday Night
Suspects tried to break in through a window, and then fled when the home's intruder alarm went off, Holmdel police said.
HOLMDEL, NJ — Do you live near Borden's Brook Way in Holmdel, and did you notice anything suspicious this past Monday night?
That's what Holmdel police want to know. This past Monday, July 29, someone tried to break into a home on that street, and ran off when the home's burglar alarm went off, said police.
When the alarm went off, Holmdel police responded to the home and found that a window had been tampered with. The area was checked and everything appeared in order.

Then on Wednesday the homeowner found what is believed to be burglary tools on their property.
"We feel these were left at the residence when the initial alarm went off and the suspects fled the area," said Holmdel police. "We are asking anyone with surveillance of the area or if you saw something suspicious that evening, to contact the Holmdel Police Detective Bureau at 732-946-4400."
