Attic Fire Extinguished At Holmdel Condo Unit On Saturday
The Holmdel Fire Company successfully contained an attic fire at the Orchards development over the weekend, authorities said.
HOLMDEL, NJ - With assistance from Holmdel police and neighboring municipal fire departments, the Holmdel Fire Company was able to successfully contain and extinguish an attic fire at the Orchards development over the weekend, authorities said.
On July 10 around 1:30 p.m., a structure fire was reported in the Orchards Townhouse development on Stage Coach Drive, the Holmdel Township Police Department wrote in a release.
At the scene, officers found an upstairs condo with a heavy smoke condition and smoke emitting from the roof. The fire was later discovered to be coming from the attic area.

While the resident of the condo unit evacuated, Holmdel police officers ensured surrounding condos had no occupants. The fire was extinguished and was contained to only the attic of the condo unit, authorities said. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Holmdel Fire Company was assisted by the Hazlet, North Centerville, Keyport, Union Beach and Tinton Falls Fire Companies. The Holmdel Police Detective Bureau along with the Monmouth County and Holmdel Fire Marshal's Offices also provided support at the scene.
