We ask your cooperation in making brush pick-up more efficient by observing the following guidelines:
1. Tree Limbs MUST be 6 INCHES in diameter or smaller.
2. Maximum amount of brush placed at curb is (2) individual piles with each pile NOT exceeding 4’ high X 4’ wide by 6’ long.
3. Leave at least 6 feet of space on each side and between each pile so machinery can grasp the material.
4. If possible, do not stack branches/brush on sidewalks.
5. Brush must be stacked perpendicular to the curb, in front of your dwelling, NOT exceeding the length, height and diameter listed.
6. Brush must NOT be stacked at the curb any earlier than 1 WEEK prior to your scheduled week of collection.
7. Brush MUST NOT be stacked for collection within 10 feet of a Storm-Water Inlet/Basin.
Reminders:
• If an OUTSIDE CONTRACTOR cuts down a tree, trims trees, bushes and/or landscapes the CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE for hauling itaway. Ultimately, the homeowner is responsible if a contractor fails to comply.
• Keep parked vehicles off the street during your collection week. DO NOT place branches in roadway and DO NOT stack brush piles beside shrubbery, posts, hydrants, electrical or cable boxes, mailboxes and/or any other objects. We will not return to the piles that are passed over due to obstructions.
• Anyone placing brush at the curb/street at unauthorized times may be subject to enforcement action.
• If your brush is not collected during your scheduled week, please be patient. We will maintain collection, despite inclement weather or unforeseen delays.
• This will be the last brush pick up for the remainder of the year
It is the intention to help you understand the protocol of this service. Guidelines will be strictly enforced, DPW Supervisors will be canvassing sections prior to scheduled pick-ups and items not acceptable for collection will be brightly tagged. Subsequently, if rules are not followed and crews arrive, brush will not be collected. It will then be the homeowner’s responsibility to remove.
For a fee, branch and leaves may be brought to the Monmouth County Reclamation Center located in Tinton Falls. For further information please call 732-683-8686.
