Bayshore Medical Center Opens First-Ever Farmers' Market

The Bayshore Farmers' Market will occur every Saturday, year-round from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine at the hospital on North Beers St.

HOLMDEL, NJ — Starting on Saturday, June 6, Hackensack Meridian's Bayshore Medical Center will host its first-ever Bayshore Farmers' Market.

The hospital, located in Holmdel, says this is an effort to provide the community with local and affordable healthy food options.

Starting Saturday, June 6, Bayshore’s Farmers’ Market will spotlight produce, meats, seafood and cheeses, all of which have been locally sourced here in the Garden State. Bayshore’s medical staff will also be on hand to provide patrons with information and recommendations from a variety of specialties including, food and nutrition, diabetes management, cardiology and more.

The Bayshore Farmers’ Market will occur every Saturday, year-round from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine at Bayshore Medical Center, 727 North Beers Street in Holmdel. All the vendors will wear masks, according to a hospital spokesman.

“Providing our community, the ability to purchase locally grown food and simultaneously consult with Bayshore’s health care experts is something we are very excited to offer,” said Frank Citara, chief hospital executive. “Bayshore Medical Center has been a part of this community for almost 50 years and we look forward to providing our neighbors with this exciting and unique experience.”

The hospital says it will be following all the latest protocols and orders set by local, state and federal governments.
