‘Biggest Orchid Event Of The Year’ Sets Return To Holmdel

At this annual Orchid Show, attendees will be able to see hundreds of orchids on display, learn how to take care of them, shop and more.

HOLMDEL, NJ — Calling all flower enthusiasts – the Deep Cut Orchid Society’s 27th Annual Orchid Show is set to return to New Jersey on Friday.

Billed as “the biggest orchid event of the year,” the show will run from Friday through Sunday at Dearborn Market, located at 2170 NJ-35, Holmdel.

At the event, attendees will be able to see hundreds of blooming orchids on display, attend free lectures about how to take care of them, and more.

Hours for the show include:

  • Friday (12 p.m. to 6 p.m.)
  • Saturday (9 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
  • Sunday (9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)

“Join us for the Deep Cut Orchid Society Annual Orchid Show!” Dearborn Market said in an online post. “Experience a greenhouse full of exquisite displays from the Dearborn Garden Center and talented local growers.”

While admission to the annual Orchid Show is free, plant exhibitors must register/send in plant lists by 12 p.m. on Thursday if they would like to be part of the show. Further instructions on registration can be found here.

Judging from the American Orchid Society will take place on Friday, according to the Deep Cut Orchid Society website.

Lectures at the event will include:

  • Saturday
    • Growing Orchids in the Home (10:30 a.m.)
    • Basic Orchid Care (1:30 p.m.)
    • Repotting Orchids (3 p.m.)
  • Sunday
    • Growing Orchids in the Home (10:30 a.m.)
    • Basic Orchid Care (1:30 p.m.)
    • Repotting Orchids (3 p.m.)
