Bon Jovi-Backed 'Restaurant' Closes in Union Beach
Spoon Full of Hope, a community kitchen sponsored in part by Jon Bon Jovi's Soul Kitchen in Red Bank, has closed.

Union Beach, NJ - Spoon Full of Hope, a community kitchen sponsored in part by Jon Bon Jovi’s Soul Kitchen, has closed, its founder Gigi Liaguno-Dorr tells the Asbury Park Press.
Similar to Bon Jovi’s Soul Kitchen in Red Bank, the Union Beach outpost had no prices, but instead asked diners to either give a minimum of $10 ($5 for kids) or an hour of volunteer work. Spoon Full fed meals to the needy every Wednesday night out of the Union Hose Fire Co. No. 1 station. Liaguno-Dorr said they prepared 4,300 meals since opening in January 2015.
A Soul Kitchen spokesperson told the Asbury Park Press there are no plans at this time to continue in Union Beach.
