Special Planning Board meeting for high density housing at the former Vonage Headquarters

 PLEASE COME MONDAY NIGHT TO THE PLANNING BOARD MEETING AND EXPERIENCE WHAT IT'S LIKE WHEN A COMMUNITY COMES TOGETHER TO STOP A PROJECT THEY ARE BEING BULLIED TO ACCEPT.  WE HAVE OPTIONS!

Holmdel Township just decided yesterday to put the disastrous plan for the former VONAGE HEADQUARTERS  on the agenda for this coming Monday's special planning board meeting.  CONVENIENTLY WAITING UNTIL AFTER THE ELECTIONS FOR TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE. They are going to try and vote to approve the Urban Redevelopment Plan that was customer tailored to suit the builder.  

This plan will bring 300+ units, muti-story buildings and a parking garage to former vonage site. This plan also demolishes the existing ball field that is currently still in use for a 3 story care facility. This units will mostly be senior living with low income housing. 

There will be an environmental impact to the local waterways and wildlife migration.  The builder is even asking for waivers for the outdated and undersized sewer treatment plant that is currently in use there. 

THIS DEVELOPMENT WILL BE AFFORDED THE PILOT PROGRAM MEANING THE SCHOOL SYSTEM AND KIDS WILL SUFFER.  

BE AWARE THAT THIS AFFECTS ALL OF HOLMDEL.

WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO BUILD ANOTHER FIREHOUSE AND EMS BUILDING ON THIS SIDE OF TOWN TO ACCOMMODATE THIS DEVELOPMENT AT THE EXPENSE OF ALL HOLMDEL TAXPAYING RESIDENTS. PROPERTY VALUES WILL BE AFFECTED.  

THE BUILDER ON THE OTHER HAND PROFITS TREMENDOUSLY FROM THE RE-ZONING HE WAS GRANTED TO BUILD THIS PROJECT.

 THIS PROJECT DOES NOT FIT THE LOOK AND FEEL OF HISTORIC HOLMDEL AND THE MAYOR SHOULD KNOW BETTER. 

THIS WILL ALTER THE LOOK OF HOLMDEL FOR EVER... SHAME ON HIM! HE SHOULD BE A VOICE OF THE PEOPLE AND NOT A VOICE  FOR HIMSELF AND DEVELOPERS!

WE ARE BEING SOLD OUT. 

WE THE PEOPLE HAVE THE POWER. THE PEOPLE PUSHING THIS PROJECT THROUGH WORK FOR US AND NEED TO BE REMINDED OF THAT!

SAVE HOLMDEL!  SAVE THE VONAGE BUILDING!

WE DESERVE BETTER!

THERE WILL BE MORE LARGE PARCELS OF LAND FOR SALE. THIS WILL HAPPEN AGAIN AND AGAIN IF THIS GOES THROUGH! IT HAS TO END HERE AND NOW!
