HOLMDEL, NJ — The Friends of Holmdel Open Space announced they canceled all of these scheduled walks for June:

"In the interests of everyone's health, safety and well being, FOHOS (Friends of Holmdel Open Space) is cancelling the June 6th National Trails Day walk and the June 20th Fossil Hunt," said the group.

"We suggest that to get some exercise and fresh air you may wish to explore the trails on Bayonet Farm and the Ramanessin Section of Holmdel Park on your own. A map of the trails is on the bulletin board of the kiosk at the beginning of the Red Trail across from the Red Barn at Bayonet Farm. Please do follow the recommendations for strict social distancing and no group gatherings."

"You may also consider exploring any of the other Township and county parks. It is spring and many wildflowers can be found. How many different kinds can you find? You may wish to avoid the more popular parks (e.g., Holmdel Park and Thompson Park) on weekends."
