Car Flips on Icy Holmdel Road Monday

The Ford sedan skidded off the road at 1 p.m. Monday, Holmdel First Aid said.

Holmdel Township, NJ - Icy roads caused a fatal crash on the Parkway Monday afternoon, and also caused this car accident on Holmdel Road Monday.

Holmdel First Aid responded to the call at 1 p.m. Monday, where they found a Ford sedan skidded off the road and turned over onto the drivers’ side. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. A second motor vehicle accident was also reported Monday in Holmdel, when a car drove into a tree at 1:18 p.m. The driver was taken to a local hospital for further medical evaluation, first aid responders said.

Icy road conditions continued Tuesday morning, and caused a seven-vehicle accident in the express lanes of I-78 eastbound at 5 a.m. Tuesday. There were only minor injuries in that accident, State Police told Patch.
