Chick-Fil-A Coming To Hazlet And A New Holmdel Supermarket?
A Chick-fil-A will be opening on Rt. 35 near the movie theater in Hazlet and a new supermarket may open at Union Ave. and Rt. 35 in Holmdel.

HAZLET, NJ — A Chick-fil-A will be opening on Rt. 35 near the movie theater in Hazlet, said Hazlet Mayor Sue Kiley in a Facebook post. And a new supermarket is being discussed along Rt. 35 in Holmdel.
The Chick-fil-A will be built with a drive-thru in the parking lot in front of the movie theater, Mayor Kiley said. They are in the final stages of getting permits from the Township, and will then start construction.
And a developer seeks to turn what is currently the Holmdel Corporate Plaza off Rt. 35 into a shopping center with a new supermarket. You can see the commercial real estate listing here. According to various reports, the complex will be called the Shoppes at Union Avenue and will be built at the corner of Union Avenue and Route 35 (currently Holmdel Corporate Plaza).

The two developers that own the property, Zenith Realty Advisors, based in Manhattan, and The Goldberg Group, based in White Plains, have not filed any plans yet with Holmdel Township. But they retained Ripco as the leasing agent.
“The Holmdel market presents itself with a unique mix of demographics that so many national retailers look for in this part of the state,” Stephanie Harris, one of the Ripco leasing agents, told this real estate trade magazine. “Being part of a new shopping center in the primary retail stretch of the Route 35 corridor and the close proximity to the Garden State Parkway makes this development a regional draw for a great many surrounding towns.”
