Chief Operating Officer of AMC to Give Talk in Holmdel
Developer of "Mad Men," "Breaking Bad," "The Walking Dead" and "Portlandia" to give lecture in August.

Holmdel, NJ - Ed Carroll, the chief operating officer of AMC Networks, will host an interactive discussion of television’s past, present and future at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 9 at the Vonage Campus, 23 Main St., Holmdel.
The program, titled “What’s ON?”, is co-hosted by Vonage and the Brookdale Community College Lifelong Learning division.
Carroll has been instrumental in developing some of the nation’s most popular and critically acclaimed television series, including “Mad Men,” “Breaking Bad,” “The Walking Dead” and “Portlandia.” He oversees operations for all AMC Networks brands, including AMC, IFC, SundanceTV and BBC America.

Brookdale Community College is sponsoring the lecture.
“He believes television has entered a second ‘golden age’ in which TV is quickly replacing movies as the medium for thoughtful storytelling,” said Linda Martin, director of Brookdale’s Lifelong Learning division. “Don’t miss this opportunity to go ‘behind the screen’ with one of the industry’s most influential voices.”
