Child Porn Sentencing for Monmouth County Man

Chad Weber, 23, of Colts Neck confessed to having sexually explicit photos of a 12-year-old Pennsylvania girl he met online.

A Colts Neck man was sentenced Wednesday to 14 months in prison for possessing sexually explicit images of a 12-year-old Pennsylvania girl with whom he had an online relationship, U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman announced.

Chad Weber, 23, of Colt’s Neck, previously pleaded guilty to one count of possessing images of child pornography. His sentencing was Wednesday in Trenton federal court.

In April of 2013, agents with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security learned Weber had been communicating with a 12-year-old girl from Pennsylvania. The agents obtained copies of various chat logs and other Internet messages between the two, charting an online relationship that began in February of that year.

Many of the messages were sexually explicit, according to the U.S. Attorney. Weber and the girl also traded sexual photographs of each other. During some of their chats, Weber acknowledged that the girl was only 12 years old, feds allege.

Weber confessed that he did in fact possess some of the explicit pics on his cell phone and computer.
