Come To Holmdel Harvest Fest This Saturday, Oct. 7

HOLMDEL, NJ — Holmdel's annual Harvest Fest will be held from noon to 9 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 7 at Bayonet Farm (41 Middletown Road). With a nod to Holmdel's traditional farming roots, the day includes wagon rides, pony rides and a petting zoo as well as food and craft vendors. There will be live music: DNA Entertainment from 12-2 p.m., Ces Picerno from 2:15-3:30 p.m. and West End Dogs from 4-8 p.m.

Activities include Knockerball (add'l fee), beer & wine in the Red Barn. FREE activities are: Wagon rides (12-6 p.m.), pony rides and a petting zoo (12-6 p.m.), inflatables, face painting for the kids, a climbing wall and bungee jump (12-8 p.m.); laser tag (1-8 p.m.), a Zombie Scavenger Hunt (12-8 p.m.) and Touch-a-Truck (12-7 p.m.). Stick around for "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" at 7 p.m. The evening concludes with fireworks at 8 p.m.

Food vendors for this weekend's Harvest Fest include: Tony’s Italian Sausage (Sausage Sandwiches, Cheese Steak Sandwiches), Big Harley’s BBQ (Ribs, Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Brisket Sandwiches, Fried Chicken, BBQ Chicken, French Fries), Frezys (chicken fingers, fried ravioli, Fried Pickles, Mozzarella Sticks, Fried Pop Tarts, Kettle Corn, Corn Dogs, Hot Cider), D & D Concessions (hot dogs, pretzels, cotton candy, popcorn), Goldy’s Ice Cream, Ralph’s Italian Ice, Juice For Us (cold press juices & smoothies), Mr. C’s Grease Truck (fat sandwiches, grilled cheese, gyros, veggie sandwiches), John & Debbie O’s (Funnel Cakes, Fried Oreos, Cotton Candy, Lemonade), Latin Food & Roasted Corn (Shish kabobs, Roasted Corn, Spanish Food, Lemonade).

Parking is $10/car. Holmdel Harvest Fest is sponsored by Holmdel Township and the Holmdel Dept. of Recreation.
