DWI Checkpoint Coming To Holmdel Saturday Night
Look for sobriety checkpoints on Route 35 in Holmdel and Route 71 in Brielle this weekend, police advise.
HOLMDEL, NJ — The Monmouth County DWI Task Force will conduct two DWI checkpoints this weekend in Monmouth County, including one in Holmdel on Saturday night into early Sunday morning.
In Holmdel, the checkpoint will be Saturday, July 9, beginning at 10 p.m. and ending at 2 a.m. on Sunday morning. All northbound vehicles on Route 35 will be diverted into the Dearborn Farms parking lot, according to Task Force Coordinator Chief Michael Schneider of the Allenhurst Police Department.
Another checkpoint will be Friday, July 8, beginning at 10 p.m. and ending at 2 a.m. on Saturday morning in Brielle. All southbound vehicles on Route 71 will be pulled into the Brielle Municipal lot, Schneider said.

During both checkpoints, local police officers will work alongside Task Force members to determine the sobriety of drivers contacted, Schneider said.
