UNION BEACH, NJ — The Monmouth County DWI Task Force will conduct a DWI checkpoint this Friday evening, April 26 in Union Beach.

The checkpoint will be run from 10 p.m. Friday through 2 a.m. Saturday on Rt. 36.

Task force members and officers from the Union Beach Police Department will be pulling cars over from the westbound lanes of Hwy. 36 into the Holy Family church parking lot to determine driver's sobriety, said Allenhurst Police Chief Michael B. Schneider, task force coordinator.

They are looking for drivers under the influence of alcohol and or drugs.
