DWI Checkpoints In Hazlet, Neptune This Weekend
This Friday night, Sept. 20 there will be a DWI checkpoint in Neptune City, followed by one on Hwy. 36 in Hazlet Saturday night.
HAZLET, NJ — This Friday night, Sept. 20 there will be a DWI checkpoint in Neptune City, and the following night, Saturday, there will be one on Hwy. 36 in Hazlet.
The Monmouth County DWI Task force will be pulling drivers over on Hwy. 35 north in Neptune from 11 p.m. Friday through 2 a.m. Saturday. They'll be pulling cars over from the northbound lanes into a parking lot between Third and Fourth avenues.
In Hazlet, the checkpoint will be run from 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 through 2 a.m. Sunday on Hwy. 36. They'll be pulling cars from the eastbound lanes into the Holy Family Church parking lot to determine drivers' sobriety, said Allenhurst Police Chief Michael B. Schneider, task force coordinator.
