DWI on Palmer Avenue Saturday Morning, Holmdel Police Say

An allegedly drunk Keansburg man crashed his car into a pole on Palmer Avenue and Middle Road, police said.

Holmdel, NJ - An allegedly drunk Keansburg man crashed his car into a pole on Palmer Avenue and Middle Road Saturday morning in Holmdel township, Holmdel police told NJ.com.

The accident happened at approximately 8 a.m. Saturday. The blue Nissan Maxima sustained heavy front-end damage. Its driver, Haji Hussein, 63, of Keansburg, was injured when he crashed the car into a pole on the roadway, police said. His car was the only vehicle involved, and he was the only person injured in the crash.

He was taken to a local hospital, and later charged with DWI.
