Earth Day Festival, Greenway Walk Set To Return To Holmdel
Attendees will be able to enjoy a morning hike, guided tours, food and more at the annual event.
HOLMDEL, NJ — Earth Day is almost here, and in Holmdel, the town will celebrate with its annual Earth Day Festival and Greenway Walk on April 27.
Sponsored by the Holmdel Environmental Commission and the Citizens for Informed Land Use (CILU), the festival will host a variety of activities, entertainment, shows, and presentations for young and old attendees alike.
Events will include a morning hike, guided tours of the historic Harding House, interesting exhibits, and homemade goods at the Red Barn Deli and the Olde Fashioned Bake Shoppe, officials said.

The Earth Day celebration will begin at 11 a.m. with the traditional Earth Day Greenway Walk from the Harding House in Bayonet Farm. The walk is expected to be about 2 miles.
Around noon, participants will arrive back to the farm for event festivities, officials said.

There will also be live music in the Red Barn throughout the day, and guests can sign up for Harding House tours upon arrival, as tours have limited occupancy and are in demand.
“Springtime is here at last, and everyone is ready to welcome warmer days and enjoy the annual celebration of Earth Day,” CILU Board Member Margaret Cluskey said in a letter to members.
Festival officials invite community members to the event, which is free and open to all.
