Emergency Road Work Closes Holmdel’s Holland Road Yet Again

For the second time this week, Holland Road is closed between South Holland and Laurel Avenue due to emergency work, authorities said.

HOLMDEL, NJ - In what serves as the second instance this week, Holland Road is closed between South Holland and Laurel Avenue due to emergency road work, authorities said.

The Holmdel Township Police Department announced the closure at 10:43 a.m. on Friday via Facebook. Motorists are asked to follow the posted detour.

Holland Road closed July 14 in the same area due to emergency road work as well, police said.

Several reports of a water main break in June through July on Holland Road between South Holland and Laurel Avenue have been issued by Holmdel police. Holmdel Ptl. Matthew Menosky told Patch that Friday's road work consisted of pavement repairs due to damage caused by one of the previous water main breaks.
