Evacuation Saturday in Union Beach
The big concern was high tide at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Officials asked residents to leave Union Beach voluntarily.

Union Beach, NJ - With the next high tide coming Saturday night at 7:24 p.m., a voluntary evacuation is now in place for Union Beach.
Officials are asking anyone in low-lying/flood prone parts of Union Beach to leave now. You should also leave if your home has not been raised, police said.
The Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge may also become flooded and stranded at high tide, Old Bridge police said. Rt. 35 between the Morgan Bridge and County Road will likely flood between 4:30 and 10:30 p.m., Old Bridge police said.

Parts of Middletown Township, Aberdeen Township, Keyport, Keansburg, Highlands and Sea Bright all reported flooding during Saturday morning’s high tide. The new big worry is the Saturday evening high tide cycle.
