UPDATE: 60-Year-Old Woman Killed In Fatal Accident In Hazlet; Route 36 Partially Closed

A fatal accident involving a 60-year-old woman occurred early Saturday at Palmer Avenue and Route 36 in Hazlet, police said.

The 60-year-old woman was killed and a 51-year-old man was injured in the three-car crash. The 60-year-old woman, who was driving a 2003 Chevy Malibu, was traveling Main Street when she entered the intersection of Route 36; she was then struck by the 51-year-old man, according to The Asbury Park Press.

A 28-year-old man was driving a Cadiallac CTS was driving behind the pickup then crashed into them, according to the APP.
Police were assisted on the scene by the Monmouth County SCART team, Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, and Middletown Police
