Film Festival, Craft Show & More: This Weekend In Monmouth County

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — The weekend has officially arrived.

As we reach the end of May and prepare to welcome June, there are plenty of fun events happening along the Jersey Shore.

Whether you’re looking to watch some new films, shop for local produce or crafts, take part in a historic block party, or enjoy the Historic Village at Allaire's annual duck derby, here are five local events you can check out this weekend:

Road To Liberty Block Party

• Date: Saturday
• Location: Kings Highway (between Bandywine Way and Trimbleford Lane)
• Details: Step back in time on historic Kings Highway with an immersive colonial celebration featuring period-inspired food and beverages, games, fife and drummers, re-enactors, and hands-on activities for all ages. RSVP here.

Duck Derby

• Date: Saturday & Sunday
• Location: The Historic Village at Allaire (4263 Atlantic Avenue, Wall)
• Details: The Historic Village at Allaire’s annual Ducky Derby Rubber Duck Races are set to return for 2026, featuring two days of fun, games, races and chances to win prizes.

Monmouth Film Festival

• Dates: Friday, Saturday & Sunday
• Location: Bell Works (101 Crawfords Corner Road, Holmdel)
• Details: Take part in this celebration of independent cinema, featuring panels, workshops, screenings and more. Event passes required.

Marlboro Farmers Market

• Date: Sunday
• Location: 444 Route 520 (just west of Route 79)
• Details: Shop from local vendors at Marlboro Township’s annual farmers market. Admission and parking are free.

Seaport Craft Show

• Date: Sunday
• Location: Huddy Park (Highlands)
• Details: Join the Highlands Business Partnership for their 25th annual Seaport Craft Show, featuring over 60 crafters and artisans and live music.
