First Meeting of 2017 for Holmdel Historical Society
The meeting will be Jan. 10 at Holmdel Community Center; first order of business for the new year is restoring St. Catharine's Church.

HOLMDEL, NJ - The Holmdel Historical Society, which recently announced a full revitalization as an organization, has announced its first meeting in the new year. The meeting will be January 10 and will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Holmdel Community Center, located at 4 Crawfords Corner Road.
During the monthly meeting, the organization will discuss what has been happening since the re-launch of the organization, as well as discuss membership and give an introduction to the website. The organization’s first order of business in 2017 is to restore the old St. Catharine’s Church on Stillwell Road.
The Holmdel Historical Society researches, preserves and interprets the history and architectural history of Holmdel, one of the oldest sites of European settlement in New Jersey. To join the organization as a member, annual dues for the HHS are $25 and can be paid at the January 10th meeting or by calling Peter Manieri, the society's new President, or Treasurer Rhonda Beck at 732-768-7583 or 732-685-4450, or by email at holmdelhistoricalsociety@gmail.com.
