HAZLET, NJ — The former Friendly's restaurant on Rt. 35 in Hazlet will soon become a Starbucks, according to a report Wednesday in the Asbury Park Press.

This will be a drive-through Starbucks.

The Friendly, located at 3201 Rt. 35 in Hazlet (near the Best Western motel), closed in 2015, according to the report.

Plans started in the middle of 2018 to convert it into a Starbucks. An opening date has not yet been revealed.
