Group Plans Search for Missing Middletown Man
Meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at Gramercy Lakeside Manor. They also ask Rt. 36 businesses to review their cameras from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. Dec. 13.

Hazlet, NJ - John Fernandez, a 22-year-old Middletown man, has now been missing for almost a month, and a volunteer group called Missing in America will hold a search for him this Saturday, January 9.
Volunteers are meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Gramercy Lakeside Manor in Hazlet, an organizer told Patch, who wanted to get the word out about the search. Anyone is welcome to help them search the areas around Natco Lake Saturday morning.
Additionally, Missing in America is asking all businesses and property owners along Rt. 36 from Keyport to Middletown to review their cameras for any sign of him. They are asked to check from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Dec. 13.

Fernandez was last seen at his home in Middletown at about 1:30 a.m. on Dec. 13, and his cellphone was found later that day on the side of Rt. 36 near Natco Lake. He may have walked off along the Henry Hudson Trail, police said when he first disappeared.
