Gunshots Heard In Holmdel/Hazlet Area Thursday
Someone reported they heard 10-12 gunshots around noon Thursday at Garden Park mobile homes, but police were unable to locate the source.

HOLMDEL, NJ — Someone called in that they heard 10-12 gunshots around noon Thursday in Holmdel, but police were unable to locate the source of the gunshots. Indian Hill school was placed into a "secure the building" protocol as a precaution, but there was never any threat to the school, police said.
At approximately 12:20 p.m. Thursday, Holmdel police received a 911 call of 10 – 12 gunshots in the area of the Garden Park mobile homes and Orchard Avenue. Holmdel police immediately responded to the area and thoroughly investigated for the source of the gunshots. This area included Garden Lane, Miller Avenue, Orchard Avenue, Sage Street and the New Jersey Transit railroad tracks.
Officers were unable to locate the source of the possible gunshots and there was no evidence located. Officers from the Hazlet Township Police Department assisted in a check of the area.
