Hazlet Convenience Store Sells $50K Lottery Ticket
The winning ticket matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball drawn for the Jan. 9 drawing. Here's where it was sold:
HAZLET, NJ - A winning lottery ticket sold at a Hazlet convenience store matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball drawn for Saturday’s drawing, garnering the $50,000 third-tier prize.
The lucky winner purchased the ticket at a Quick Chek located at 1618 Union Ave.
The Quick Chek ticket was one of four to match four of the five white balls and the Powerball for last Saturday’s drawing, according to a spokesperson from the New Jersey Lottery. One winner in Passaic County purchased a ticket with the Power Play option, multiplying their prize to $100,000.

The winning tickets were sold at the following locations:
- Passaic County ($100,000): 7-Eleven #32949, 1202 Main Ave., Clifton
- Hudson County ($50,000): Mini Mart Food Store, 405 Danforth Ave., Jersey City
- Monmouth County ($50,000): Quick Chek #133, 1618 Union Ave., Hazlet
- Passaic County ($50,000): Jackpocket/Utopia Deli, 355 Warwick Turnpike, Hewitt
The winning numbers for the Jan. 9 drawing were: 14, 26, 38, 45, and 46. The Red PowerBall number was 13. The Multiplier number was 02.

124,181 New Jersey players took home an estimated $602,888 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200.
The jackpot rolls to $550,000,000 for the next drawing to be held at 10:59 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 13.
