Hazlet Man Charged With Child Porn Possession: Prosecutor
Charles Hoagland, 56, was charged with possession of child sexual abuse materials, the county prosecutor said Wednesday.

HAZLET, NJ – A Hazlet man was arrested and charged in connection with the distribution and possession of child sexual abuse materials, authorities said Wednesday.
Charles Hoagland, 56, of 34 Coral Drive in Hazlet was charged with one count of third degree endangering the welfare of a child for the possession of child sexual abuse materials and one count of second degree endangering the welfare of a child for the possession of child sexual
abuse materials, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
Hoagland was arrested and charged following an investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. An investigation found
that the Hazlet man used a messaging platform to send an item depicting the sexual abuse of a child to another individual. He also possessed images “depicting child sexual abuse materials.”

Hoagland appeared before Honorable Paul X. Escandon in Monmouth County Superior Court on Nov. 18 and was released pending trial under the conditions that he would not be given internet access (except for employment) and have no unsupervised contact with anyone under 18.
Investigators are seeking additional information about Hoagland’s activities. Anyone
