Hazlet Officer Gets Award From MADD

A Hazlet police officer was recognized by the New Jersey chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving for his 2014 DWI arrests, authorities said.

Officer Nick Logothetis received an award last week from Mothers Against Drunk Driving for leading the police department in 2014 in arrests of impaired drivers, according to the police department’s Facebook page.

“In his first year on the road he was responsible for removing 14 DWI drivers from our roadways,’’ police said in the post. “Several other officers just missed out on receiving this award.”
