Hazlet Pathmark Store Laying Off 82 Employees on Thanksgiving
New Jersey-based company files reduction in force notices with Department of Labor.

Eighty-two employees in the Hazlet Pathmark grocery store will be released from their jobs on Nov. 26 – Thanksgiving Day – this year, according to WARN notices filed by the company last week.
The Bergen County-based supermarket chain announced earlier this year it would be filing for bankruptcy. Many store locations were purchased by other companies, including ACME Markets, Inc., Ahold’s Stop & Shop Supermarket Co., and Key Food Stores Co-operative Inc.
A&P owns stores of the same name, Pathmark, Superfresh, and Waldbaums. Efforts to obtain comment from the company were unsuccessful.
