Hazlet Police Lt. Retires After 20+ Years Of Service To Local Community

The lieutenant's "dedication to the township and his commitment to the department will be missed," police said.

HAZLET, NJ — After over two decades of service to the local community, Hazlet Police Lt. William Marvel has retired, the police department recently announced.

On Thursday afternoon, the Hazlet Township Police Department honored Marvel’s retirement with a walk-out ceremony in front of police headquarters.

Marvel started his work at the Hazlet Township Police Department as a dispatcher before he was hired as a patrolman in July 2001.

During his career, Lt. Marvel enjoyed traffic enforcement and keeping the roads of Hazlet safe.

His dedication to the town and his commitment to the police department will be missed, Hazlet Police said.
