Hazlet Therapist Charged With Sexually Assaulting Teen Patient

A therapist from Hazlet has been charged with sexually assaulting a 17-year-old patient, authorities said.

Radha Singh, 27, of Hazlet, was arrested Friday and charged with sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

She sexually assaulted a 17-year-old on multiple occasions between May and July 7, according to a news release from Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes. Singh had been providing therapy to the teen, the news release said.

The investigation was handled by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Paterson Police Department.

If convicted of the second-degree offenses, Singh faces 5- to 10-years in prison.
