Holmdel Students Learn To Respect Their Elders In A Surprising Way
One elementary school student really went all in!
HOLMDEL, NJ-- Students at the Village Elementary School learned to respect their elders in a fun, hands on way: by dressing like them!
The 3rd grader pictures above picked his outfit for respecting his elders, as he says, "Because I have respect for all the grandpas."
The dress-up day was a part of Village Elementary's Week of Respect celebrations this past week. On other days students wore their favorite team jerseys to "team up against bullying."

On another day, kids got to wear full superhero outfits, and hallways were decorated with superheros to show off their kindness and respect powers.
“Our students are among the most respectful students with whom I’ve had the opportunity to work,” Superintendent Dr. Robert McGarry said, “in Holmdel we celebrate respect every day!”
