Holmdel Adopts Funding For Local Improvements
The Holmdel Township Committee has adopted three bond ordinances that will fund municipal improvements.

HOLMDEL, NJ — The Holmdel Township Committee has adopted three bond ordinances that will help fund municipal improvements throughout the township.
The members of the committee unanimously adopted the ordinances during the township meeting on March 8.
The first ordinance authorizes the issuance of $5.52 million to the township for capital improvement purposes. As part of the appropriation, municipal officials will make a down payment of $276,080. It also authorizes the issuance of $5.24 million in negotiable bonds, which are able to temporarily finance the improvements.

This ordinance will fund information technology equipment, public facility improvements such as improvements to the first aid building, public safety equipment, traffic signs, and weapons (pistols and rifles), and township road improvements in 2022.
The second ordinance allows sewer utility improvements and appropriates $2.68 million for the work, with $2.18 million to be issued in bonds. The total appropriation includes $500,000 that Holmdel received under the federal American Rescue Plan Act. No down payment will be required by the Local Bond Law of the State of New Jersey, according to the ordinance.

All funding from this ordinance will go towards providing improvements to the sewer utility system within the township.
The third ordinance authorizes utility improvements at the Holmdel Swim Club and appropriates $445,800 for the work, with $423,5100 to be issued in bonds. A down payment of $22,290 is required for this ordinance.
The improvements authorized by this ordinance include the replacement of the tennis courts and sand filters and renovations to the pump house roof at the Holmdel Swim Club.
