Holmdel Candidates' Forum Oct. 16 At The Community Center

Meet the candidates running for Holmdel Township Committee and the Holmdel Board of Education.

HOLMDEL, NJ — A Holmdel candidates' forum is planned for Monday, October 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the Holmdel Community Center. This event, sponsored by Citizens for Informed Land Use (CILU), in conjunction with the League of Women Voters, is an opportunity for Holmdel residents to meet the candidates for Holmdel Township Committee and Holmdel Board of Education, and learn where they stand on the important issues facing the town.

Two seats for Township Committee will be open next year. The following candidates for these seats have been invited: Greg Buontempo (Republican incumbent), Larry Luttrell (Democrat), Rocco Pascucci (Republican), and Barbara Singer (Democrat).

Organizers also invited the Holmdel Board of Election (BOE) candidates to make statements after the TC candidates speak. The BOE candidates are: Eileen Briamonte (incumbent), John Martinez (incumbent), Peter Reddy (incumbent), Daniel Bodnar, and Jamie Collins, who are all vying for 3-year term seats. In addition, Terence Wall and Jaimie Ochojski are competing for a one-year unexpired term seat.

The Holmdel Community Center is located at 4 Crawfords Corner Road and election day is Nov. 7, the same day as the election for New Jersey governor.
