Holmdel Cheeburger Cheeburger Announces Restaurant Closure
After serving the Holmdel community for over a decade, the Route 35 location closed its doors for good.

HOLMDEL, NJ – The Cheeburger Cheeburger location on Route 35 has closed its doors permanently, according to a social media post from the restaurant’s owners.
The burgers-and-fries site announced on Sunday that the closure comes after over a decade serving the Holmdel community.
“We are sad to announce that after 10 years of being part of the Monmouth County community, Cheeburger Holmdel has permanently closed,” the owners wrote. “We would like to thank our loyal customers and our amazing staff for 10 wonderful years. We wish you health and happiness always.”

The Holmdel location closed temporarily in March amid the coronavirus pandemic “out of abundance of caution for our staff and our loyal customers”. The restaurant reopened in June for pickup and delivery.
The social media post did not address what prompted the fast-casual burger spot to close its doors.
One Cheeburger Cheeburger site remains in the state, located at Newark Liberty International Airport. The franchise has 16 other locations in the country, as well as one spot overseas in Saudi Arabia.
