Holmdel Finds a Buyer for Former State Police Barracks Site
An animal doctor is looking to revitalize the abandoned property.

Holmdel Township has found a buyer for the former state police barracks property on Route 35.
Holmdel resident Miguelina Moniello, DVM, who is associated with Emergency Veterinary Care in Freehold, is willing to purchase the building and property from Holmdel Township for $720,000. Of that amount, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Holmdel will be paid $17,500 in commission as required by state regulations.

The 1.6 acre property is located near the highway's intersection with Centerville Road, next to Dearborn Market. The township purchased the property from the state Dept. of Law and Public Safety for $640,000 in December, 2007.
The Township Committee voted to approve the sale at its meeting on December 20.
