Holmdel High School Wrestling Sets New Winning Record

Holmdel wrestling is now 16-6, a new school record.

Holmdel, NJ - The Holmdel High School Boys Wrestling team beat Somerville Tuesday to break the team’s winning record set back in 2001, a Patch reader wrote in to let us know.

Holmdel beat Somerville with a score of 38-27 Tuesday, making them 15-6 for the season. That broke the 2001 record of 14-11.

With Wednesday night’s win over Freehold (45-21), Holmdel wrestling is now 16-6, beating the school record by two matches so far. The team also qualified for the NJSIAA State Wrestling tournament, which will be Monday.
