Holmdel High Schoolers Launch Tutoring Service For Younger Kids
All the tutors are juniors at Holmdel High School, and they will offer the online tutoring all summer long.

HOLMDEL, NJ — Is your son or daughter elementary- or middle school-aged and struggling with remote learning, even as the school year winds down?
A group of Holmdel High School students would like to help. They are offering free, half-hour, one-on-one remote tutoring sessions for local children, offered through Google Hangouts.
"We are simply high schoolers trying to do what we can to ease these troubling times," said one of of the high school tutors, Megan Yu, a junior at Holmdel High School. Yu started the tutoring service with a friend, Kimberly Eng, plus several other Holmdel High juniors.

This is a free online tutoring service for Holmdel Village, Indian Hill and Satz kids, called Students For Students. Yu said she would like to get the word out to more Holmdel parents, and they will offer the tutoring all throughout the summer.
The tutors are Yu, Eng, Nabiha Umar, Andrew Siek, Alex Tian and William Shullich, all students at Holmdel High School.

They offer up to three free, half-hour one-on-one or group tutoring sessions per child, every week. Sessions are held over Google Hangouts and Google Meets, and can be on a variety of subjects, including math, English and writing, history/social studies and science.
After a student is signed up they are matched with a tutor that the high schoolers think will work best with them. Here is their website, where people can book a session and meet the tutors: https://studentsforstudent1.wixsite.com/studentsforstudents
