Holmdel, NJ - Meet Jeff Rainess, approved Wednesday night as the new head coach of Holmdel High School’s football team. Rainess, pictured here with his family Wednesday night, was most recently an assistant coach at Mater Dei Prep.
“Rainess emerged through the interview process as the idea fit for what we were looking for in our next head coach,’’ Shane Fallon, Holmdel’s athletic director, told the APP.
Holmdel was 1-8 last season under former coach Greg LaCava, who resigned. Holmdel has not had a winning season since 2007.
