Holmdel Home Burglarized Monday Night

HOLMDEL, NJ — A home was broken into in Holmdel Monday night, police announced.
The break-in happened at 7:23 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22 at a home on Cottonwood Lane East. The homeowners returned home to find their house broken into; the suspects got in through a rear sliding door.
The suspects were then seen fleeing the area on foot running towards Woodhollow Drive. The only description was 3 men, one one a grey-hooded sweatshirt. Holmdel police said they are also searching for a red crossover or smaller-type SUV with possible Florida plates.

Monday night's break-in happened less than half a mile from an earlier home invasion in Holmdel on Jan. 11. That incident happened at a home on Line Road near Ivy Hill Drive at about 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon, Jan. 11.
The homeowner arrived home to find the screen to a rear window cut and the rear sliding door ajar.

There was nobody in the home, but money and jewelry was found to be missing.
