Holmdel Lawyer Is Monmouth Democrats Choice For Sheriff
Larry Luttrell, who previously ran for Monmouth County Commissioner, won enough write-in votes to challenge Shaun Golden in November.

FREEHOLD, N.J.— A write-in Democratic candidate for Monmouth County sheriff in the June 7 primary election has received enough votes to be on the ballot in November, according to the Monmouth County Democrats organization.
Larry Luttrell exceeded the number of signatures to be on the ballot, the organization said, citing information from the Monmouth County Clerk's Office.
Luttrell will be challenging incumbent sheriff Shaun Golden, who is also head of the Monmouth County Republican Organization.

"We thank everyone for their efforts, donations of time and resources, and most importantly your votes in this primary election," the news release said.
