Holmdel Man Pleads Guilty To Fatal DUI In Arkansas
A Holmdel man (originally reported from Howell) was sentenced Friday after admitting to a DUI where he killed an 84-year-old Arkansas woman.

HOLMDEL, NJ — A man originally from Holmdel, N.J. was sentenced to six months in jail Friday after he admitted he was under the influence of alcohol when he hit and killed an 84-year-old Arkansas woman. Arkansas police originally mistakenly said he was from Howell.
Michael V. Kenask, 35, of Holmdel, pleaded guilty Friday to negligent homicide and first-offense driving while intoxicated in connection to the fatal crash, which occurred Jan. 11 in Van Buren, Arkansas. NJ.com first reported on his guilty plea, which they picked up from NWAOnline.com, a local Arkansas media outlet.
Kenask struck and killed the elderly woman, Wilma Delores Glass, as she used a walker to cross U.S. Rt. 64 in Arkansas on Jan. 11. She was crossing the four-lane highway to get to a shopping center at about 7:30 p.m. when she was struck and killed. He was driving an SUV at the time of the crash, police said. He had a blood alcohol content of .14 when he was arrested and the legal limit in Arkansas is .08.

After his guilty plea Friday, Kenask was sentenced to six months in jail. He will begin his sentence Sept. 11 at the Crawford County jail in Arkansas. He was also ordered to pay $85,000 in restitution to the woman's family.
