Holmdel Mayor Collects Masks And Other Supplies

HOLMDEL, NJ — On Tuesday, Holmdel Mayor Greg Buontempo started collecting personal protective equipment (PPE) to give to first responders and healthcare workers at Bayshore Medical Center.

"If you or someone you know has any equipment that you would like to donate please email me at mayor@holmdeltownship.com," Buontempo wrote. "We will make arrangements for a contact-less pickup of these supplies."

All donations will be distributed among Holmdel’s police, first aid and fire personnel. Any remaining items will be given to Bayshore.

The Holmdel mayor is asking for:

• Surgical Masks
• N95 (or better) Masks/Respirators
• Nitrile Gloves
• Face Shields
• Goggles
• Disinfectant Wipes
• Hospital Gowns
• Chemical Protective Coveralls
• Safety Glasses
• 3M Brand P100 Disc Filters
• Niosh Approved Half-Faced Respirators
• Temporal Thermometer
• Ear Thermometer Probe Covers
• Hand Sanitizer
• Monetary Donations

Monmouth County is also collecting items, and as of Wednesday, Thompson Park in Lincroft is now serving as a drop-off site. PPE items needed include:

• Nitrile examination gloves
• Surgical or N95 masks
• Protective gowns
• Protective face shields
• Multi-function no-contact infrared thermometers
• Hand sanitizer
• Anti-bacterial wipes

Donations of these items are being accepted at Thompson Park, 805 Newman Springs Road, in Lincroft, beginning Wednesday, March 25, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Monday through Friday. This collection effort is being run by Monmouth County.
