Old Bridge Man Searched For In Holmdel Park Is Dead: Cops
Old Bridge resident Edward Hussey, 49, has been missing since Sunday.
HOLMDEL, NJ – A missing Old Bridge man, whose disappearance sparked a an areawide search in Holmdel Park, has been located and pronounced dead. Edward Hussey, 49, was last seen leaving his Lakeridge Drive home in the Matawan section of Old Bridge at approximately 10 a.m. on Sunday morning.
It was not immediately clear where Hussey was found.
"The Old Bridge Police Department would like to extend their deepest condolences to the family of our recent missing person and thank the community for their help in this matter," the department said in a Friday morning Facebook post.

The Holmdel Police Department canvassed the area around Holmdel Park on July 8 and 9 for the missing adult male, causing the park to shut down during the search. As of Friday morning, Holmdel Park is now reopen.
"The missing person we were searching for yesterday, in the area of Holmdel Park, has been located," the Holmdel Township Police Department wrote in an earlier Facebook post on Friday. "Thank you for your assistance."

Holmdel police did not disclose what led the department to search Holmdel Park for the missing man.
