Holmdel PD Pursues Stolen BMW Near Sheffield Drive Monday Morning
Holmdel police pursued a stolen vehicle early Monday, warning that it's likely the subjects were attempting to take another vehicle nearby.

HOLMDEL, NJ - Officers from the Holmdel Township Police Department attempted to stop a stolen vehicle out of Livingston early Monday morning, authorities said, warning that it’s likely the individuals were in Holmdel in an attempt to take another vehicle.
On Feb. 22, 2021 at approximately 3:01 a.m., Holmdel police observed a 2019 black BMW X5 operating on American Way near Sheffield Place. A pursuit ensued after officers attempted to stop the vehicle for multiple motor vehicle violations.
A license plate check revealed that the BMW was stolen out of Livingston on Sunday.

“In the interest of public safety, and to adhere to the Attorney General's Pursuit Policy, the pursuit was terminated on Garden State Parkway North,” Holmdel police said in a statement. The department also noted that it is “likely” the individual(s) were in the area attempting to steal another motor vehicle.
Residents are reminded to lock their vehicles and remove the key fobs from them. Anyone who has witnessed suspicious behavior in the area is urged to contact the Holmdel Township Police Department at (732) 946-4400.
